Lavrov “pulled” Poroshenko: Minsk does not provide for the introduction of peacekeepers in Donbass

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov reacted to the idea of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on the intensification of efforts in the Donbass peacekeepers of the United Nations. According to the head of Russian diplomacy, the placement of UN troops in the East of Ukraine contradict the Minsk agreements, on the contrary, they supported the role of the special monitoring mission of the OSCE.

“He does a lot of statements, to me it is difficult to comment. All these statements are aimed only at one thing — to take responsibility for the signature Petro Poroshenko put under the Minsk agreements. Anything that is required to make the Ukrainian side is not done under various pretexts,” — said Lavrov on the results of negotiations with Secretary General of the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe Lamberto Zannier.

Earlier, the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the issue of deployment of UN peacekeepers in the Donbass requires the consent of all parties to the armed conflict — the Ukrainian authorities and the leadership of the breakaway Donetsk and Lugansk national republics.
