In the Kremlin told about the consequences of the decision of Kiev to de-energize the LC


Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the decision of the Ukrainian authorities to stop power supply to the LC one more step in the rejection of this site. Earlier it became known that Moscow provide an uninterrupted supply of electricity in districts of Luhansk region disconnected from the Ukrainian grid for non-payment.

On a question of journalists on how Moscow will meet the needs of the self-proclaimed Luhansk people’s Republic’s electricity, Peskov said that he would not go into details.

The representative of the Kremlin said that the decision of the Ukrainian authorities to stop the supply of electricity to the Lugansk contrary to the spirit of the Minsk agreements, and “separates us from the final goal.” “This is another step towards the rejection of Ukraine from the territory”, – quoted Peskov RIA Novosti.

Press Secretary of the President noted that Moscow had done much to help minimize the consequences of the decisions of Kiev for Donbas residents.

We will remind, on the night of 25 April, Kiev has stopped the supply of electricity in the LC due to accumulated debt. After that, some of the Luhansk region were plunged into darkness, but soon the electricity was restored.

On Tuesday, the Russian representative in the contact group on Ukraine, Boris Gryzlov, said that Moscow in the framework of humanitarian support are ready to take on the electrical supply at the LC. Gryzlov also noted that in terms of deliberate economic blockade by Ukraine, residents of Donbass, there is no possibility to pay bills.
