Retired head of the Polish Commission investigating the Smolensk plane crash


Dr. Vaclav Barcinski resigned as Chairman of the Commission on investigation of the crash of the presidential Tu-154 near Smolensk. The Minister of defence of Poland, accepted his resignation, said the press service of the Ministry.

It is known that Barcinski explained the resignation personal circumstances.

To perform the duties of the Chairman of the Commission will be Deputy Birchanskogo Kazimierz Nowaczyk.

Tu-154 crashed while landing at the airport Smolensk-North April 10, 2010. Killing all those on Board, including Polish President Lech Kaczynski and his wife.
