The main opposition party in Turkey the Republican people’s party intends to challenge the results of the last April 16 referendum, the BBC reports.
Members of the party said about the violations during the elections, they require a conversion of 60% of the vote.
The three largest Turkish cities — Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir — voted against amending the Constitution.
In the referendum voted for the approval of 18 amendment of the Turkish Constitution, which provide for the transition from parliamentary government to a presidential Republic, the abolition of the post of the Prime Minister and other changes in the management system of the country.
According to “Anadolu”, the turnout in the referendum in Turkey was more than 85%. After counting 99.97% of votes “for” votes 51,41% of the citizens of Turkey.
