At the meeting with Putin, Medvedev reported about the great success in the economy

The Russian economy after the “fairly complex script” goes to positive. On Monday, April 17, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev during a meeting with President Vladimir Putin.

“Our economy has entered a stage of growth, We saw this late last year and earlier this year observed,” – said the Prime Minister. According to him, at the end of 2016 the growth of the industry amounted to 1.3 percent.

Simultaneously, Medvedev noted that the trend of growth of non-oil revenues — in particular, last year they accounted for 64 percent of total revenues.

The head of government pointed out low inflation to five percent by the end of last year, which, he said, is “unprecedented in the modern history of the Russian Federation”.

Medvedev also said that in 2017, the Cabinet of Ministers counts on reducing unemployment to 5 per cent of the economically active population. Last year, the rate was 5.5 percent.

The Prime Minister noted that in European countries the unemployment rate among the working population is ten percent or more, reports TASS.
