US Ambassador at the sidelines of new York forum on the role of women in international development said that she had conversations with the President, during which “he seriously called Russia an issue,” reports SBS.
“What they did to Crimea and Ukraine… and how they cover the (Syrian President Bashar) Assad, because of things we are not going to do them a favor,” said Haley.
The diplomat added that “repeatedly gave the cuffs of Russia”, when it was believed that the authorities “are doing wrong”.
Haley also urged not to pay attention to what trump does not criticize Russia, because the main thing is “what he does” – namely, strengthens the military power of the United States and is engaged in the energy expansion.
Previously, Donald trump said he did not intend to discuss their military plans in Syria with Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, he noted that the chemical attack on civilians in the Syrian province of Idlib changed his attitude to the country’s leadership and President Bashar al-Assad, reports The New York Times.
In turn, the U.S. Secretary Rex Tillerson said that after the incident “the Russians should carefully consider whether they intend to continue to support the Assad regime,” reports Reuters.
