Visitors to death Ukrainian zoo were feeding the alpacas

Visitors to the zoo in the Ukrainian city of Lutsk to death overfeed a female Alpaca, informs Agency UNN with reference to the employees of the institution.

“The autopsy showed that death was caused by… overflow feed the masses. Save the alpacas was impossible, because hope for recovery could be given only by surgery, which the zoo does not hold” — said the Agency interlocutor.

Rivne zoo last year, gave the zoo two alpacas — male and female. The message about the illness of the animal began to appear in early March, says the Agency.

Alpaca — home-even-toed ungulates, which have traditionally been bred in the Andes. Alpacas originally erroneously attributed to the genus of llamas, however, in 2001 researchers found that the ancestors of alpacas was vicuna, and guanaco not the ancestor of all domesticated llamas. Therefore Alpaca, though-like in appearance the llama belongs to the same family of camel, Lama is not.
