“We have a lot of interesting ideas”
The General Director of charity Fund of support for the music art “Elena Obraztsova Foundation”, Natalya Ignatenko told the newspaper OPINION that she was very pleased to receive a letter from the President with a proposal to enter into Public chamber. “As a man dealing with the problems of culture in Russia, I hope will represent the music community. We have a lot of interesting ideas. I hope that the OP will be using some of these ideas to lobby that they implemented,” – said Ignatenko.
She stressed that the Russian culture is rich in names, talents, and should be “to promote our art not only in Russia but also abroad.” She expressed regret that in classical music are paying less attention to the Russian composers and their works. “The spirit we have is very deep. It is largely contemplative. It carries a lot of energy thinking. Of course, “Elena Obraztsova Foundation” and I always stand up for that Russian music sounded more”, she said.
Ignatenko welcomed that in Russia each year goes by the name of a composer. “Last year was the year of Prokofiev. This year is the year of the great Stravinsky. It is a great happiness that our leaders and the President are trying to convey that it is necessary to declare the year of performance of the Russian musician, the composer. Now began the staging of Stravinsky. Need to get these names. The 15th year was the year Tchaikovsky. These names don’t have to leave. Through the music of Russian composers created a very friendly cute image of Russia to foreigners. Now in a climate of political hysteria, when trying to distort the face of Russia, through the Russian music culture, we can change Russia’s image for the better,” she concluded.
Note that the main goal of the Foundation established in December 2011 at the initiative of the great Opera singer, people’s artist of the USSR Elena Obraztsova, are cultural and educational projects of cultural heritage preservation and development of traditions of musical culture and education, and international humanitarian cooperation.
“OP gives opportunities that do not allow other sites”
Director of the Autonomous nonprofit organization “social information Agency” Elena Topoleva-Soldunova, who works in the Public chamber since 2010, has also accepted the proposal of the President. According to her, this area gives her plenty of opportunities. Topoleva-Soldunova since 2012 also included in the Expert Council under the government of Russia, awarded the order “For merit to the Fatherland, 2nd degree”.
“The public chamber gives possibilities which don’t give other sites. I would like first of all to engage in the development of NGOs, of public activity. People are becoming more active. Need to promote this activity, this self-realization. The public chamber could contribute to this environment was even more favorable,” said Topoleva-Soldunova the newspaper VIEW.
Also OP could promote a civilized dialogue. “One of the problems of society – we’ve forgotten how to talk to each other culturally. Literally any topic that people of different views begin to aggressively talk to each other. Almost comes to fights. Need to enhance the level of agreement on various topics. You need to be able to talk, to negotiate. I’m happy to continue this work,” she said.
In addition, she believes that, despite the great potential, the Public chamber should rethink yourself. “When OP appeared was a different environment. And now a lot of sites for public control and expertise. For example, onf. Need to rethink his new role,” concluded Topoleva-Soldunova.
