Singer Yulia Samoylova will represent Russia at “Eurovision-2017” in Kiev

The first channel has announced the name of the singer who will represent Russia in the European song contest “Eurovision”, which will start in may 2017 in the Ukrainian capital Kiev. It was the 27-year-old native of the Republic of Komi, the singer Yulia Samoilova. She uses a wheelchair because of illness.

The artist tried himself in different genres, including pop rock and won various music contests and festivals. She also was fond of heavy alternative music, founded in the spring of 2008 a group of “TeeraNova”.

Samoilov received wide recognition both in Russia and abroad, after Russian pop Diva Alla Pugacheva personally awarded her the prize “Golden Star of Alla”.

Earlier, some media called probable candidate on a trip on “the Eurovision” in Kiev from the Russian singer Alexander Panayotov, however, as it turned out, they were wrong. Panaitov called to sing at the European music competition uniting our “brotherly Nations” song. He also regretted that “Eurovision” is not without political interference, and called strange Ukraine held the contest in the background of the ongoing armed conflict in the Donbass.
