Protests against the “Plato” look strange – the system is already beneficial

However, the government has extended it until the fall.

And here on 2 November, the Ministry of transport has developed a draft government resolution, which proposed to raise the tariff from February 1 to 2.61 rubles per kilometer, and from 1 June to 3.06 rubles.

Over the past year derived from “Plato” the money has been repaired more than 1 thousand kilometers of the most problematic roads. “The first proceeds from “Plato” in may, was directed to repair the roads that were in very critical condition. These additional revenues helped to achieve tangible results. For example, in Petrozavodsk 230 city streets-third renovated by means of the system “Platon”, – explained the first Deputy Minister of transport Eugene Dietrich.

Leningrad oblast has applied to the Agency on funding due to the “Platonic” fees construction of a road Novoye Devyatkino – Murino, which is estimated at RUB 5 billion promised by 2020.

With regard to concerns around inflation caused by the cancellation of preferential tariffs, Shadow reminded that already the original price 3.06 ruble was based on the relevant studies of economic development. “And these forecasts are not voiced, which will increase the price of food. Russia fits into the “global trend”

What gives “Plato” cargo owners and trucks

Disadvantages to the owners of cargo transported by trucks are: it increases the price of carriage of goods at the expense of carriers to charge less than 5% (calculations carried out on the basis of the average cost of transportation is 35 RUB./km).

However, in return, they receive increasing transparency and the quality of services in the field of transportation. The reasons for this will be the disclosure of detailed information about planned and actual routes for the transportation of cargo (including the time and location of the vehicle), proof of reliability of carriers that use “Plato”, reducing the time of delivery and the risk of loss of goods by improving the quality of roads.

Finally, the owners of the truck and ordinary truck drivers – the ones that gather on Friday to protest – of course, will incur additional costs to the Board, which also shifted the cost of the final product.
