Kept my promise: trump has signed a decree on the withdrawal of the U.S. from the TRANS-Pacific partnership

Donald trump signed the first significant “foreign decree” after his inauguration – according to the decision, the United States initiated out of that agreement on the TRANS-Pacific partnership (TPP). On the “birth” of this project, the previous occupant of the White house, Barack Obama spent a few years, now one stroke of a pen all his efforts sent to the trash.

Agreement on TPP in the original format did not last year – it was signed in the oval office of the White house in February 2016 12 countries, which accounted for 40% of the entire global economy.

The aim of this agreement was the extension of the free trade zone in the Asia-Pacific region and contain China’s influence in Asia Pacific, where he every day takes an increasingly strong position.

However, the new US administration is not seen in the partnership the benefits, which broadcast its mastermind Barack Obama. Moreover, in his election campaign, Donald trump emphasized that the establishment of the Union will cause serious harm to the American economy.

“On the Transpacific trade partnership is planned to establish an international Commission that will make decisions that the American people will not be able to veto… In the end, participants will be able to promote to our market their own products, while maintaining barriers to U.S. exports” – said the Republican.

In the end, he decided to follow his campaign plan US out of the TPP.

During the signing of the decree, trump said that his decision will benefit the working class in the USA: “a Wonderful thing for the American worker”, – quotes words of the President to Reuters.

On the prospects of further existence of the TTP so far, however, the prospects are very slim. Earlier, commenting on the critical statements of Donald trump to the agreement, the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe said that without the participation of the United States itself Transpacific trade partnership makes no sense. But without the participation of Japan and U.S. agreement on TPP in may not be ratified.
