The Director of the Institute of biomedical problems of RAS Oleg Orlov said that the Russian and the American space Agency NASA has signed an agreement to conduct joint training for crews of astronauts for future missions to other planets. Appropriate insulation experiments will be carried out from 2017 to 2021, and the duration of each of them from a few weeks to a year, said the scientist.
Oleg Orlov made a presentation of the five-year program, which will be jointly implemented by the United States and Russia. He also expressed hope that in the future the project can join and other countries. Experiments are reported, will be held on the territory of Russia.
The largest project of its kind, which used to be attended by Russia, was successfully completed in November 2011 insulation experiment “Mars-500” which was held in cooperation with the European space Agency. In the third phase of the project, six volunteers spent 519 days in a special complex. Thus simulated flight to the Red planet.

However, many experts note that science has yet to solve part of the problems with inadequate preparation may face the first conquerors of Mars.
