German fighters will fly over Estonia

Fighters of the German air force Eurofighter Typhoon on Monday, will fly at low altitudes over the territory of Estonia. The daily flights, which will last until Friday, is part of the mission to protect the airspace over the Baltic States.

“Fighters of the German air force Eurofighter Typhoon will operate flights on working days not less than 152 meters (500 feet) away from populated areas. The flights will take place in the first half of the day,” – said the headquarters of the defence Forces of the country.

The Baltic States have no aircraft, allowing to carry out patrols. This mission rotates countries of the Alliance. The German air force replaced the British pilots on August 31.
