Queen Elizabeth II met with the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill, to the displeasure of the British press and the Ukrainian authorities. The visit of the Primate of the Russian Church shows that the interests of at least part of the British aristocracy coincide with Russia – ironically, as part of the global confrontation with the Anglo-Saxon project.
The meeting at Buckingham Palace Patriarch Kirill congratulated the Queen with the recent 90th birthday and gave her the mother of God icon “quick to hearken”. As told the press Secretary of the Patriarch, addressed a variety of issues:
“This meeting aims to highlight the importance of conservation in today’s world basis for the whole Christian world of values”
“Patriarch Kirill told the Queen about the revival of the Church in Russia in the last 20 years, the construction of temples, the development of theological science, to increase the number of dioceses in General about spiritual growth, which exists now in Russia. You were also talking about the situation of Christianity in Europe.”
The Patriarch said that he is very pleased with the meeting and did not expect it to go “in such an atmosphere and at such an active level at which it actually took place”:
“She’s bright, radiant eyes, beautiful reaction to the questions at the interview. She talked a lot, and spoke very correct, clever things that are interesting to listen to. This conversation has made me intellectually and emotionally a very pleasant experience. I will keep in my memory so fair a Queen, which is 90 years old and is already 60 years on the throne… the Monarchy is like over momentary political problems, it gives the chance to citizens of UK through the monarchy to rely on the strength of the national tradition, which expresses the monarchy”.
And on the eve of, during the Patriarchal services in the London Cathedral of the Dormition Cathedral, and he sounded so surprised secular people many of the summer “Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, God-protected country of ours, this God-protected country”. At the service were members of the British Parliament, and the bishops of the Anglican Church, and a cousin of Elizabeth Prince Michael of Kent – that the Windsors have long been in absentia “tried on” the cap of Monomakh. Of course, not that the restoration of the monarchy conversed with the Prince in the altar of the Cathedral of the Patriarch. They talked about the long tradition of ties between the two Nations (part of which is the current English dynasty, in the 19th century was closely intermarried with the Romanovs).
“Relations between the two countries have a long history, and a difficult period, which is now observed, can not affect the deep ties between the Nations,” the Patriarch said. And during the sermon, he added that “the spiritual and cultural level is particularly significant interaction of countries and peoples. It is not subject to political conjuncture experienced in the moment.”
About the political situation, the Patriarch said no coincidence – Russia’s relations with the West can rightly be called a cold war, and from all the countries of the West England, of course, is the hard anti-Russian stance. Given that a few days ago was actually disrupted Vladimir Putin’s visit to Paris, during which he, together with the Patriarch was to open a Russian cultural and spiritual center (the main part of which is the Orthodox Church), the London visit of the Patriarch was even more noticeable.
The Patriarch three days visited the Sourozh diocese is located in the British Isles and Ireland diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. The visit was timed to the 300th anniversary of the presence of the Russian Orthodox Church in England – at the Embassy of Peter the great was organized the first Russian parish, the community of the Dormition Church. And now the Patriarch has consecrated the Uspensky Cathedral in London. The temple is still in 50-e years of the last century was converted from a former Anglican Church, and in recent years it has undergone extensive renovation.
Patriarch Kirill visited the other parishes in London, including the Russian Orthodox Church abroad, a lot of contact with their parishioners, Russians living in the UK. But it is clear that the press were primarily interested in the Anglican part of the visit. Indeed, the Patriarch did not come just to borusiny-Londoners – but in the United Kingdom. That is, the Anglican – Protestant Church led by the Queen.
No communion in prayer between the Orthodox and the Anglicans there. Although before the revolution of 1917, on the Islands among some of the clergy and aristocracy was a serious interest in Orthodoxy, and even discussed the possibility of a return to Orthodoxy in recent decades, Anglicans even more alienated from us: not only marriage and the priesthood for homosexuals, but also the ordination of women priests and even bishops. However, such “reforms” are a rejection of those Anglicans who continue to follow the gospel standards. And it is clear that they are increasingly sympathetic to Orthodoxy, including the Russian Orthodox Church.
There is conventionally, but the inter-dynasty Orthodox party. Husband of Elizabeth Prince Philip was born in an Orthodox family (Greek dynasty among his ancestors was the First Nicholas) – and, although he attended the Anglican Church, says that he is still Orthodox. His son, Charles Prince of Wales, visiting Orthodox monasteries from mount Athos to Palestine – and the Archbishop of Thyatira and great Britain Gregory (Patriarchate of Constantinople) said that in the soul of an Orthodox Prince.
The lack of spiritual communion between the Orthodox Church and Anglicans does not mean the absence of “diplomatic” relations. And so during this trip, meetings were held of the Patriarch and the Archbishop of Canterbury and the English Queen.
The fact of the meeting of Elizabeth II with Kirill has caused outrage of the Ukrainian Ambassador in London – the invitation of the Patriarch “risks to legitimize the Russian foreign policy in the eyes of the world” – but also criticism in the British press. Times called the inclusion of an audience with the Queen in the schedule of the Patriarch’s visit a mistake, but the Daily Mail recalled that usually come religious leaders takes Prince Charles.
The outrage is due not only to the fact that it is now in England again escalated attacks on Russia over the war in Syria, as with the General atmosphere of hostility in Anglo-Russian relations. Against this background, the visit of the Patriarch attributed the traits of some of the diplomatic mission, exposing the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church almost as an emissary of Putin – which, of course, supposed to scare island readers.
While the visit of the Patriarch is really important is the geopolitical aspect. Because Russia stands as an alternative to the Anglo-Saxon world order, that is, plans for global domination of a supranational elite (mostly American and English origin and place of residence). Russia defends and promotes not just another geopolitical and economic world order – but first and foremost, defends the spiritual and moral alternative globalization. Which consists in the coexistence of different civilizations, each of which is based on its tradition – and in the case of Russia is Orthodoxy.
As mentioned by the representative of the Patriarch before the meeting with the Queen?
“We hope that this meeting will bring tangible results and to build relations between our peoples, since the Church and the monarchy are the basis for preservation of traditional values, which, unfortunately, now in the eyes of many people losing their importance… the meeting aims to highlight the importance of conservation in today’s world basis for the whole Christian world of values.”
So. Yes, the British monarchy, of course, the fundamental and historical geopolitical enemy of Russia. But within the Atlantic of globalization the role and place of the English aristocracy is not as simple as it seems. Being still part of the great European Christian civilization (including Germans, and Italians, and French), the English aristocracy now is actually in conflict with those representatives of the supranational global elite that put into post-humanism, on the complete de-Christianization of the West, the elimination of national States and the establishment of a unified Atlantic community.
Despite the fact that the English Royal family has long been intertwined with transnational capital and its media, an internal conflict that does not change. And the role and influence of the old European aristocracy (which continues to remain the center of European elites) the further promotion of the globalist project will be reduced.
Globalization in its relatively “American”, the supranational versions don’t need no old dynasties, nor in the preservation of the States, nor in a variety of civilizations. We are talking about a unified humanity under the control of a single center, unified society of consumers under the supervision of the global supercorporation.
It is clear that this is a distant prospect. But the English aristocracy has preserved its influence and positions not only because of its absolute unscrupulousness (apply that to their own people, to foreigners), but also due to the presence of strategic thinking.
And that’s why at least part of the island’s aristocracy, today it may be a tactical ally of Russia in a game long against disadvantageous to both countries of the model of globalization while remaining geopolitical opponent of Russia in the struggle for influence in specific regions and globally. “Englishwoman” never stop “shitting” Russia that does not negate the possibility of tactical alliances in specific areas.
No convergence Anglicanism, and Orthodoxy cannot be and speeches – as well as there can be no question about the disappearance of the geopolitical contradictions between Britain and USA on the one hand and Russia on the other. But going global is now repeating cards depend on the contours of future decades. So the Farage and Le Pen to play along with the Tramp, and the Patriarch goes to Beijing and to the Queen of England.
