The national Bank of Ukraine has ordered all financial institutions in the country to stop the use of the Russian payment systems, which previously fell under the expanded sanctions Kiev. Thus Ukrainian citizens working in Russia, will be much harder to send money home.

Previously it was reported that the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko by his decree suspended throughout the country, the activities of payment systems “Hummingbird”, “Unistream”, “International money transfers Leader”, Blizko and Anelik.

In turn, the source RIA Novosti reported that the Russian banks, most likely, in the near future will be able to circumvent the ban and once again enter the money transfer market.

According to the Central Bank of Russia, last year from Russia to Ukraine by private persons transferred nearly a billion dollars.

Interviewed by “MK” experts regarded the new ban Poroshenko as a populist move, as Ukrainian citizens will be able to find an alternative in the form of international payment systems. Read the details in our material.
