China sent into orbit a manned spacecraft “Shenzhou-11”, translated “Sacred canoe”. On Board are two men – 49-year-old crew commander Jing Chipan and his 37-year-old partner Chen Dong. The rocket must deliver the astronauts, or as they are called in China, taikonaut, on the orbital complex “the Tiangong-2” (“heavenly Palace”). They will live a record 30 days and conduct a series of experiments. This mission will be a key step in the formation of the Chinese equivalent of the ISS.
The spacecraft was launched at 7:30 Beijing time from the Jiuquan spaceport in North-West China. The start was recognized as fully successful. Within two days after orbital insertion of the Shuttle to automatically dock with the space laboratory that was launched into orbit on September 15. For the commander Jing HIPAA this is the third flight into space, and another crew member Chen Dong goes there for the first time.
By the way, Jing, Hypen was not originally planned to participate in the mission, but their purpose in the end embraced with enthusiasm, saying he was ready for a long professional career. He compared their flight with Olimpi eskimi games: it so happened that in space the I Ching, Jaipan leaves every four years.
Chinese President XI Jinping, currently located at the BRICS summit in India, congratulated taikonaut telegram. “It is necessary to continuously open up new prospects for the development of manned space exploration and thus making steps of Chinese space exploration all the more significant and far” – wrote the leader of China. He also noted that the current mission marks an important stage in the development of the space program of the country: it is expected that China will first carry out a mid-term human presence in earth orbit.
The crew will spend in the laboratory several experiments on space medicine and repair techniques in orbit. Among the objectives of the mission also means “to popularize scientific and technical knowledge”. In addition, taikonaut will check to see how the station “Tiangong-2” suitable for life. Indeed, in the plans of China to 2022 to launch a new part of the complex – “Tiangong-3”. The orbital complex should become the Chinese version of the ISS. “The success of the mission Shenzhou-11″ lays the basic Foundation stone of this project”, – said the Chinese TV channel CCTV. If all goes well, in 2022 “heavenly Palace” will be able to ensure the permanent presence of astronauts on Board. Given that the period of the ISS operation is gradually coming to an end, for some time the Chinese complex will be able to replace her.
Space program China has been around for about 50 years. The first artificial Earth satellite the country has launched in 1970, and the first manned flight was made Jan leva in 2003. In 2008, his colleague Zhai Zhigang went out into open space. In 20013 year, Chinese lunar Rover “WiTu” successfully started work on the lunar surface. The plans of the leadership of China landing people on the moon and send a drone to Mars.
