Meanwhile, the commander of the joint forces of the international coalition, Lieutenant General Stephen Townsend said that the liberation of Mosul could take several weeks or even longer. According to him, the fight may be long and hard, but the Iraqis prepared for it.
In the night of Monday, October 17, Iraq’s military began a ground operation to liberate Mosul from the terrorists.
