The average salary in Europe varies from 250 euros to Belarus to 5.5 thousand in Liechtenstein. In Russia it is marked with a mark in 430 Euro. This is the data as the IMF and the ECB, but also Russian officials, who counted the average earnings is 33 thousand rubles, which at the current money roughly equals the amount called Western experts. But all the same salaries we are in the third tier Europeans. In the pre-crisis 2008 year, the Russians received an average of 17 thousand rubles, which is also equal to 450-500 euros. But to buy them was much more — every year inflation in Russia has made from 6.1% (in 2011) to 12.9% (in 2015) per year. That is, a fall in real income. But, according to the Minister of labour and social protection Maxim Topilin, by the end of 2018 things will get better and real income reached the pre-crisis level. If true how will these predictions, only time will tell. Now they look unnatural.

Real incomes of the population decrease in Russia for the third year in a row. According to Rosstat, in January-August 2016 they decreased by 5.8%, while in the last month of summer, the decline accelerated to 8.3%. According to Rosstat, in the first half of 2016, the number of Russians with incomes below the subsistence minimum exceeded 21 million people (14.6 percent of the total number of inhabitants). In early 2015 the number of people with such income was 16 million people.
So whether or not hopes for a brighter future? Advise in this case to read tea leaves. On the one hand, in 2016, the salary of Russians has increased in comparison with the year 2015, the national average they increased by 12%.
On the other hand, this only applies to face value in the national currency — the ruble. If you take the same figure in dollars, observed subsidence. Our average salary is still less than in Georgia, the Baltic States and many former Soviet bloc countries.
But there is hope that the gap in the window of Russians nevertheless emerged. Real incomes of Russians reached the pre-crisis level by the end of 2018, says Minister of labour and social protection Maxim Topilin. “I’m talking about the real terms of salaries and pensions. We expect that by the end of 2018 recovers”, — the Minister noted.
However, there will be a restoration of mystery. According to Rosstat, in the first half of 2016 real income of population in January-August fell by 5.8%, while in August the decline accelerated to 8.3%.
Perhaps that is why citizens believe that the government does not protect them from economic shocks. Almost 75% of Russian workers, according to the survey of the Centre for socio-political monitoring of the Ranepa, consider the level of security is low.
In Russia think about as well. On the one hand, according to Rosstat, in nominal terms, the average wage compared to last year increased by 7.8% to almost 36.5 thousand rubles. In real terms, the wages of compatriots increased by only 0.6%, which approximately corresponds to the amount called Western experts.
In other words, the only salaries we are still in the third tier Europeans or other so-called developed countries. In the pre-crisis 2008 year, the Russians received an average of 17 thousand rubles, which was equal to 450-500 euros. But to buy them was much more — every year inflation in Russia has made from 6.1% (in 2011) to 12.9% per year.
In 2017, the expected inflation, according to the Ministry of economic development, a little more than 4%. Wages, rather, are unlikely to grow. Another 4% will increase utility charges. But, whether the increase of the salaries is an open question. And the answer is likely negative. So, whether we will survive until 2018, when will be able to wage pre-crisis level, remains open.
