The state Department has confirmed plans for military pressure on the Assad regime

The official U.S. state Department spokesman mark Toner confirmed to reporters that Washington, along with the diplomatic option, considering the economic pressure on the Assad regime as well as military, reports TASS.

Toner underlined that the US is trying to deeply analyze different means of influence on Damascus as part of the settlement of the Syrian crisis.

Also according to Toner, the US Secretary of state John Kerry focused on multi-stakeholder dialogue on Syria and the use influence on the Assad regime to other countries with the aim to launch a new diplomatic process.

Toner said that in these watches is the meeting of US President Barack Obama with members of the national security Council to discuss ways to combat ISIS (banned in Russia) and the situation in Syria.

Earlier media, citing sources, reported that Obama’s advisers can offer the option of strikes against the government forces of Syria.
