New Zealand contributed to the UN security Council draft resolution on Syria

New Zealand has developed a draft resolution on Syria, which envisages a ceasefire for two days. The draft contains a proposal to the parties to the conflict continue to extend the 48-hour truce until full compliance with the ceasefire, reports “Interfax”.

The resolution also calls on Syrian opposition to immediately distance themselves from terrorist groups, as urged by Russia and separated from combatants that the UN security Council resolutions are considered as a terrorist organization.

The draft resolution provides for the immediate cessation of attacks on Aleppo and enabling delivery of humanitarian aid.
