In Yerevan in the closed mode has passed the CSTO summit with Putin


The President of Russia Vladimir Putin took part in the CSTO summit in Yerevan. The meeting lasted several hours behind closed doors. They discussed “conflict and unresolved issues”, and also the new nominated Secretary of the organization.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in particular, reported that they discussed the issue of recognition of the CSTO international organizations.

It was agreed to invite military experts to “formulate clear priorities for the organization, for its withdrawal to a more serious level.”

In turn, the Armenian leader Serzh Sargsyan said that the summit had adopted “a number of important documents and decisions aimed at strengthening the capacity of the organization”.

The leaders also adopted a statement reflecting the approaches to current international issues, particularly combating terrorism, on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the deployment of a global missile defense system.
