Thus, according to Sokolov, “the question of fees is examined as part of a shared integrated approach only with respect to vehicles, does not involve the charging of fees to individuals and is not a matter of the nearest future”.

The Minister assured that the first will be a thorough examination, public discussion and analyzed the results.

As previously reported by the media, the purpose of the entry fees (including cars) should be to improve the quality checkpoints for “fast and comfortable border crossing by citizens.”

In the end, on upgraded crossings can appear not only duty-free shops, and ATMs, capsule hotels, pharmacies and other services.

We will remind that earlier today the Ministry for North Caucasus Affairs announced the intention to introduce a tourist tax in 5 regions of the Russian Federation for a period of 5 years “in test mode”.
