Obama criticized Republicans for “too soft” towards Russia

In a speech at the event, Democratic party of the United States in Ohio, President Barack Obama criticized Republicans for inconsistency in relation to Russia.

Obama has indicated that he considers strange the fact that the party, which had always been a tough position towards Russia, nominated for the presidency of Donald trump, who has repeatedly declared his love for Putin and the intention to move closer to Russia.

“You are the party that adheres to a rigid foreign policy and opposes Russia, and then you push it, whose role model is Vladimir Putin, former head of the KGB? I’m sorry, but what happened? It’s sad, really”, — quotes RT the statement of the President of the United States.

Before Donald trump said that he could not yet say what will be the relationship between Russia and the United States if he becomes President, and told about the attitude to Putin. “I don’t like or hate Putin. Let’s see how this will work”, — transfers its words TV channel NBC.

The tramp pointed to the possibility of future cooperation with Russia in the fight against the terrorist group “Islamic state” (banned from Russia).

RT notes that Vladimir Putin has held since July 1998 to August 1999 as Director of the Federal security service (FSB) of Russia, but the head of the state security Committee (KGB) of the USSR, as pointed out by Obama, was never.
