The Nobel prize for literature went to Bob Dylan for singing poetry

On Thursday in Stockholm was announced winner of the Nobel prize for literature. It was the famous American singer and poet Bob Dylan. The average age of prize winner for literature is 65 years old, while the youngest was Rudyard Kipling, who received the award in 41 years of age, and most elderly – 88-year-old Doris Lessing, the winner in 2007.

From among the winners of the two refused the Nobel prize in literature – Boris Pasternak (1958) and Jean-Paul Sartre (1964).
