Sarkozy criticized Hollande, disrupted Putin’s visit to Paris

The former President of France and leader of the largest opposition party in the country “Republicans” Nicolas Sarkozy has criticized his successor for the presidency Francois Hollande. The current head of the country had disrupted the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Paris, presenting an ultimatum to Moscow.

In interview to Agency France-Presse, Sarkozy expressed regret in connection with the policy, which France has continuously implemented against Russia.

According to him, he has disagreements with Vladimir Putin, but he believes that in the interests of France and Europe to continue the dialogue with Moscow. However, the behavior of Hollande, he called irresponsible.

“The reality of the diplomatic struggle is that need to discuss, find common ground. The cancellation of the visit is very bad,” – said Sarkozy, who is preparing to compete for the presidency of France.

We will remind, on the eve of the Kremlin officially confirmed that is scheduled for October 19, Putin’s visit to the French capital will not take place.
