In the Solar system discovered the seventh dwarf planet

A group of researchers from the University of Michigan, announced the opening of a new dwarf planet, completes one full revolution around the Sun in earth years 1136. Earlier this status was Haumea, Makemake, Eris, Sedna, and also received recent notoriety “Ceres” and the most famous of the dwarf Pluto.

To date of the dwarf planet continues to be wear the title of 2014 UZ224, although in the future it is, in all probability, will get more appropriate to its status, the name. As you can tell from the first digits of the name of the first space object was recorded in 2014. Now scientists were able to confirm the discovery and to find out that the detected celestial body is a dwarf planet. Scientists estimate that its diameter is from 420 to 1180 miles.

The orbit of a space object is strongly elongated, and sometimes he is at a distance of 180 astronomical units from the Sun (that is, 180 times farther away than Earth) and sometimes approaching the sun at a distance of 38 astronomical units. Now he is 91 astronomical unit from the Sun and is in a remote region of the Solar system, is weakly populated by small bodies, called “scattered disc”. This area is farther from the Sun than Neptune and even outside the orbit of the Kuiper belt. Of all currently known objects in the Solar system further away from its centre are just two of the dwarf planet Eris and the object called V774104, the existence of which was announced last year.

On 12 July it became known about another celestial body with the potential to add to the list of dwarf planets. It bears the name of RR245 and up to 700 kilometers in diameter and revolution around the Sun makes for 730 years. All candidates in the dwarf planet to date, there are about five dozen.
