Tusk called for the renewal of sanctions on Russia over Syria

The head of the European Council Donald Tusk at the conference in German Passau encouraged to extend existing sanctions against Russia, linking them now with the situation in Syria.

“The situation has become worse if we look at what the Russians are doing in Aleppo in Syria,” he said.

Tusk also called error and the “typical Western misconception” the invitation to Russia to Syria.

“Now we have a new problem,” he said. About the opinion of the head of the Council of Europe, extend sanctions was the only path that will not lead to surrender.
