The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine: If we introduce visas with Russia, the Ukrainians will run out of the country


Director of policy and communications Ministry of Ukraine, Alexei Makeyev sure that the introduction of a visa regime with Russia is inappropriate and may cause the outflow of citizens from the country.

Makeev sure if Kiev will take such a step, Moscow will respond symmetrically and forced the Ukrainians to obtain visas to visit Russia. In this case problems may arise from citizens working in Russia.

“They may be forced to return to Ukraine, first to get a work visa, then to obtain a work permit”, — he declared on air of TV channel ICTV.

Also operating in Russia Ukrainians can obtain Russian citizenship, in such circumstances, certainly more beneficial to citizens. Makeev believes that in this case Ukraine could lose “a large number of citizens.”

Verkhovna Rada Deputy Ivan krulko said earlier that the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine did not support the abolition of the visa-free regime with Russia.

A proposal to consider introduction of visas for citizens of the two countries on the eve of the speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament Andrei Parubiy. Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, in turn, in August this year said that Kiev is ready to consider the question of introducing a visa regime with Russia.
