Putin — Erdogan: Russia supported the withdrawal of Syrian troops and the withdrawal of militants


Russian President Vladimir Putin at a press conference after talks with his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan voiced the questions that were discussed by the parties, with regards to Syria.

In particular, he said, Erdogan was asked to do everything to take units of the Syrian and opposition troops from the road “Castello”, that was not bombed convoys.

Also, Putin agreed with the proposal of UN special envoy of the UN Secretary General Staffan de Mistura on the withdrawal of militias (banned in Russia) ISIS from Aleppo, “to stop the bloodshed.”
