The U.S. Congress supported the statement made about the alleged involvement of the Russian Federation to cyber attacks

In the U.S. Congress endorsed the statement on the alleged Russian involvement in cyber attacks on American organizations, including political ones.

According to the Deputy Chairman of the intelligence Committee of the Senate of the U.S. Congress Dianne Feinstein, “attempted hacking of the US electoral system is invalid”. She also noted that it is necessary to convince the government of the Russian Federation “to stop these actions”. “If that happens, we need to develop a strong response,” added Feinstein.

Earlier, the Ministry of national security and the office of the Director of national intelligence James Clapper issued a statement of allegations of the involvement of Russian cyber attacks in the United States. Us intelligence has expressed confidence that the Russian authorities are behind recent hacks and leakage of confidential information of a political nature.

Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, in turn, called the accusations against the government of the Russian Federation “nonsense”.
