Media: Maduro wants to award the peace prize to Putin


The President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro intends to create their own peace prize named after Hugo Chavez that he wants to give the Russian leader Vladimir Putin, reports Reuters.

“I decided to create a prize named after Hugo Chavez, which will be awarded for the peace and sovereignty of peoples,” – said Maduro. He expressed the hope that Putin will take the award “with all my heart and will always keep her in my life.”

It is noted that the prize will be a miniature copy of the statue of Chavez made by Russian sculptor Sergey Kazantsev.
