A U.S. Senator has proposed to introduce sanctions against Russia “for hackers”

In the U.S. Congress can be submitted for consideration a draft law on the introduction of sanctions against “Russian cybercriminals”, said the Chairman of the Subcommittee on cybersecurity in the U.S. Senate Cory Gardner.

The Senator added that requires the administration of US President Barack Obama to investigate. According to him, the draft law will oblige the White house “aggressively pursue sanctions if needed.”

Earlier, the Ministry of national security of the United States and us intelligence has accused Russia in the attack on the sites of the political institutions of the United States. The statement also mentioned was the website of the Central election Commission, the attack on which, in the opinion of Washington, was dictated by the desire of Russia to interfere in the electoral process.

Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, in turn, called the accusations against the government of the Russian Federation “nonsense”.
