The U.S. Embassy reported the talks, Nuland and Surkov


The U.S. Embassy in Moscow had also informed the media about the talks between U.S. assistant Secretary of state for Europe and Eurasia Victoria Nuland, the assistant to the President of Russia Yury Ushakov and Vladislav Surkov.

According to TASS, the Embassy said that with Nuland the negotiations were attended by the senior Director of the national security Council Celeste Wallander, the US and Charles Kupchan.

The meeting discussed the situation in Eastern Ukraine and further steps to implement the Minsk agreements.

As reported in the Embassy, the two sides acknowledged the importance of the withdrawal forces on the separation line in the Donbass to improve the security situation.
