The Pentagon commented on the delivery of s-300 to Syria


The press Secretary of the U.S. Department of defense Peter cook commented on the official statement of the Ministry of defense of Russia about deliveries to Syria battery of anti-aircraft missile system s-300.

Cook noted that Russia has repeatedly stated that it intends to fight in Syria with the terrorists, but they don’t have aviation. He therefore wished to ask the question, what is the purpose of this system if it is deployed?

Cook also announced that the Pentagon will closely monitor the military deployment in Syria, especially if it can affect the operation of the coalition.

At the same time, cook said that the U.S. Secretary of defense Ashton Carter focuses on supporting the efforts of the U.S. government, Secretary of state John Kerry to find a diplomatic solution in Syria.
