According to Slutsky, the transfer of this question to the Friday agenda of the meeting of the state Duma will be made in the coming days.p>

“The decision on inclusion of the agreement signed at Damascus on 26 August 2015 and introduced by Vladimir Putin on 9 August 2016 for ratification to the state Duma, the agenda of the meeting of the State Duma will be made in the coming days… most likely the deputies will consider a question on ratification of the agreement on Friday”, – Slutsky told Interfax, adding that Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed Deputy Minister of defense Nikolai Pankov to submit the document to MPs under this agreement.

In the document, in particular, refers to “the location of the aviation unit of the armed forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic for an indefinite period and free of charge at the aerodrome of Hamim in the province of Latakia”.

Commenting on the unilateral US withdrawal from the Russian-American cooperation on Syria, Slutsky stressed that this will not prevent the Russian side to continue efforts to resolve the Syrian crisis and to provide assistance to Syria.

The Kremlin has yet to decide on countermeasures to the White house. However, we can say, we will not stop to assist the Syrian people in the fight against terrorism as any other country which will appeal to us with such a request,” he said.
