The Colombian President has conceded defeat in the referendum on peace with the rebels

The head of Colombia Juan Manuel Santos admitted defeat in a referendum on a peace agreement with rebels of the Revolutionary armed forces of Colombia.

“I will not give up until the last minute of his presidency, I will seek peace,” the President said in a televised address to the nation, adding that despite the agreement on cease-fire with the FARC continues to operate.

It is known that the results of the calculation of 99.79% of the ballots for the peace agreement voted 49,76% took part in voting against with 50.23%.
