Lavrov explained the reasons for the suspension of the Treaty with the United States on Plutonium


The Russian foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov commented on the decree of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin about the suspension of the agreement, Russia and U.S. weapons-grade plutonium.

“This is a message to Washington: try to talk with Russia from a position of strength, the language of sanctions and ultimatums… will not succeed”, – said Lavrov.

According to the head of the Russian foreign Ministry, the agreement was seen by Moscow as “one of the important steps towards nuclear disarmament” but “a forced measure”.
