Hungary will hold a referendum on EU quotas for refugees


Hungary will hold on October 2 referendum on the issue of refugees, according to Bloomberg.

The Hungarians will have to speak about quotas of the European Union for the refugees. Voting begins at 6 a.m. Central time and will end at 7 PM.

“If you want to allow the European Union to take a decision on the relocation of persons who are not citizens of Hungary to Hungary without the consent of the national Assembly (Parliament)?” thus formulated, the question on the ballot.

The referendum will be able to take part 8.3 million voters (населениt Hungary – 9.8 million).

According to several polls conducted in recent weeks, the referendum 63-73% will vote against the European Commission assigned quotas for the admission of refugees from the Middle East and North Africa.
