“Call me an optimist, but I expect that we will begin equipment of the airborne forces future combat equipment domestic production after a couple of years,” he said.

The project is supervised by a working group of the General purpose forces under the leadership of commander of Land forces. It is composed of representatives of the airborne forces. At the same Shamans told about the existing weaknesses of the domestic BES, on removing which currently employs constructors.
“Today from the elements of combat equipment need improvement the means of GLONASS – location accuracy of a soldier or armored vehicle on the battlefield is insufficient. As the resolving power of optical instruments,” – said the commander of airborne troops.
He hopes that the designers will be able to improve the problematic parameters. According to Shamanov, the first new production in 2014 is expected to reconnaissance units. After them promising equipment will be given to fighters of battalions of the first stage – pieces, designed for immediate operational use and Autonomous combat operations.
Recall, the Russian prototype of the future combat soldier’s equipment “Permian” was presented at the aerospace show MAKS-2011. According to the developers of the new BES, soldier, clad in the “Permian” has been able to transmit a picture of the battlefield and targeting coordinates directly to the headquarters. The BES prototype is equipped with a Communicator with a chip GLONASS and GPS, which allows you to better navigate the terrain and to carry out applied calculations.
