The Rosetta probe is approaching the surface of the comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko

The Rosetta spacecraft, approaching the surface of the comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko. It is planned that the probe will make a controlled descent to the surface of a celestial body after which it will stop its life cycle.

As reported in the press service of the European space Agency mission to study the comet under the plan ends on 30 September. Confirmation of the end of the mission should occur at about 13:20 CET (14:20 GMT).

Work on the obtained scientific data will continue for another few years.
