“Naftogaz of Ukraine” has demanded from “Gazprom” in the Stockholm court of $22 billion

Ukrainian company “Naftogaz” announced in the Stockholm court requirements to the Russian monopolist “Gazprom” at 22 billion dollars for an overpayment in the purchase of gas and the lost revenue from transit, reports TASS.

The overpayment in the purchase of gas “Naftogaz” estimated at 14 billion dollars, and lost profit to 8.2 billion.

In the Ukrainian campaign explained that the cost of “Ukrtransgaz” for the transportation of gas through Ukraine to Europe are largely fixed. Therefore, the reduction of Gazprom’s transit volumes led to higher prices for transit cost per unit volume for the Ukrainian side.

Recall that the counterclaim Gazprom demands from Naftogaz of 31.8 billion for the unselected gas on a “take or pay”.
