As the government “pie” cut: the Ministry of Finance prescribed budgetary diet

The participants of the business Breakfast Sberbank in the framework of the International investment forum “Sochi-2016” discussed the recipe of the “budget pie”, reports TASS.

Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, who spoke first, gave the Russian economy a diet. In his opinion, the current fiscal policy is optimal for a given period. “In fact, pie has become more diet. We are all stimulated to make its quality much better,” said the Minister.

Siluanov stressed that in the moment it is necessary to bring the budget in line with the capacity of the economy to be balanced, and that its deficiency did not affect inflation. “A balanced budget is the basis without which we cannot talk about economic growth, stable forecast”, — said the official. The Minister confirmed that significant tax increases in the next three years will not.

Spoke on the topic “budget pie” and the head of the Duma Committee on budget and taxes Andrey Makarov. “When cooking the pie don’t add flour, butter, sugar, and lots and lots of derivatives, it is not something that is cut, there will not want. So the question really is, how it first bake! And then we divide what is not yet made”, – noted the official

The head of the Center for strategic development Alexey Kudrin, in turn, sympathized Siluanov: now the economic situation in Russia is much harder than in the days when he served as Minister of Finance. “The country faces now a more serious task,” — said Kudrin.

The ex-Minister of Finance urged to intervene more decisively on the issue of reforming the “budget” pie. So, Kudrin proposed to postpone the implementation of “may decrees” the President Vladimir Putin, which include raising salaries to state employees.
