The Hague has received new claims against Russia in the Yukos case


In the international arbitration court in the Hague brought the “second wave” in the Yukos case, the head representing the interests of the International centre for the legal protection Andrey Kondakov. In his words, in 2013-2014, the claims to the Russian Federation on the case brought on behalf of three companies – Luxton, “Yukos capital” and FPH. The total amount of claims is $ 15 billion.

“The applicants also refer to the alleged violations of the Energy Charter Treaty,” said Kondakov.

Thus, the total amount of claims of former shareholders of Yukos has reached 65 billion dollars. Earlier, the court in the Hague ordered Russia to pay 50 billion dollars, but the appeal of the Russian Federation, this decision was invalidated.
