- Kerry announced Lavrov about the possible suspension of cooperation on Syria
The US is preparing to suspend cooperation with Russia on Syria, said U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry in a telephone conversation with Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. This will be the case if Russia does not take immediate steps” to halt the offensive in Aleppo and restore the truce.
Kerry believes that the responsibility for the offensive of the Syrian army in Aleppo, the use of incendiary bombs and humanitarian situation in the city lies on the Russian side.
Russian diplomats said earlier that Moscow will never agree to unilateral steps on Syria, noting that on the restoration of the truce need to work together.
