Japanese Prime Minister hopes to discuss with Putin the Kuril question in December


Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said he intends to continue negotiations on a peace Treaty with Russia, during a conversation with President Vladimir Putin during his visit in December.

“We intend persistently to negotiate with the Russian side that in the interests of both States to develop relations in various fields, including economy, as well as to solve the problem of the ownership of the four Islands and to conclude a peace Treaty – said Abe during debate in the plenary of the lower house of Parliament. – I want to take the issue of concluding a peace Treaty through Frank and open dialogue based on this understanding, during the December summit in Yamaguchi Prefecture in a quiet environment.
