Ukraine opened a criminal case against elected from Crimea, deputies of the state Duma


The relevant information is published on the official website of the Prosecutor of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, which is currently located in Kiev.

“The Prosecutor’s office of Autonomous Republic of Crimea initiated criminal proceedings against the deputies elected to the State Duma of the Russian Federation of the Crimea and Sevastopol. The corresponding data are transmitted in the Unified register of pre-trial investigation on the criminal offence under article 111 of the criminal code of Ukraine (“high treason”)… Among them favorites on the list of “United RussiaMikhail Sheremet, Ruslan Balbec, Natalia Poklonskaya, as well as elected in single member constituencies Andrei Kozenko, Konstantin Bakharev, Svetlana Savchenko and Dmitry Belik… these actions indicate an attempt to legitimize the annexation of the Crimea Peninsula by including the illegally elected deputies from the specified region in the Russian Parliament”, – stated in the message.
