Communicating with the film crew of American TV channel CNN, the Ukrainian head of state commented on statements of the candidate-the Republican on the Crimea, which he made during a press conference in Florida.

“Arguments of Donald trump about a possible recognition of the Crimea part of Russia is just a part of election rhetoric. The next U.S. President, regardless of who wins this election, it will be a very responsible person… the New head of the White house are crucial not only to the United States, but also for the preservation of freedom and democracy in a very difficult current situation in the world,” said Poroshenko, whose words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Recall that the statements Poroshenko touched trump’s promises in case of victory in the presidential election to consider whether to recognize Crimea as Russian territory.

“As far as I know, the people of Crimea voted to be with Russia, but not where they were before. This question should be considered” – said Donald trump in one of his interviews.
