The French foreign Ministry urged Russia and Iran to abandon support for Assad

The Minister of foreign Affairs of France Jean-Marc Ayrault on Sunday supported his British colleague Boris Johnson in the opinion that Russia is delaying the war in Syria. Ayrault added to Russia Iran, noting that both countries support the regime of Bashar al-Assad.

He urged Russia and Iran to abandon “dead end”, according to his ideas, strategies to support Assad, reports Reuters. “Otherwise, Russia and Iran will become complicit in war crimes committed in Aleppo”, – said the head of the French foreign Ministry.

Informed about the prolongation of the war in Syria said British foreign Minister Johnson. In response, the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova reminded him about the invasion of the Western coalition in Iraq.
