The Ministry also proposed to abolish the fixed payment to the citizens whose income is above two and a half a living wage (about 2 million), the newspaper “Vedomosti”.

According to the newspaper, these measures proposed by the Ministry among others to balance the Federal budget for the next three years.

The initiative was voiced at meetings with first Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov. The Department believes that such measures would save 450 billion in three years.

Fixed payout — statutory part of the insurance pension, which at the moment is 4559 rubles.

Note that in 2016, the government started to index pensions to working pensioners by promising to compensate for losses in the event of dismissal. However, this decision led to the fact that the number of working pensioners declined by one million people and resulted in additional expenditure of 52 billion rubles.
