The house of representatives of the U.S. Congress unanimously passed a law H. R. 5094 “On support of stability and democracy in Ukraine”, previously endorsed by the Committee on foreign Affairs. A message posted on his Facebook page of the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States of America.
The document was initiated by the co-Chairman of the foreign Affairs Committee of the house of representatives Eliot Engel and introduced jointly with Congressman-Republican Adam Kinzinger. The law H. R. 5094 records the preservation of American sanctions against the Russian Federation up to timely, complete, and proven implementation of the Minsk agreements.”
The act contains a prohibition on recognition by the United States “annexation by the Russian Federation of the Crimea.” It is assumed that appropriate sanctions will remain in force until the US President will give to Congress “testimony of the restoration of Ukrainian sovereignty over the Peninsula.“
In the list of statutory coordinated with allies and partners of the United States support tools included Ukraine lethal defensive weapons systems. Some of its provisions are aimed at strengthening counter Russian propaganda and promotion to attract foreign investment in the Ukrainian economy.
Co-authors of the document were made by about forty congressmen from the Democratic and Republican parties.
